Suggestions for Team championships, All-Star Events, and S8

Okay guys without having to much of any argument like last time in the All-Star Series ides thread a week ago.
Lets have a lot of smart conversations about the topics in the title of the thread.
And those would be Team championships, All-Star Events, and Season Eight.

Firstly, Team championships! (Week 12)
How do you think the format should be so where its fair for every team but its not just an attendance championship?

By the way, I plan on having a championship for all three tier of teams. Primary will consist of MX, MT, and GP. Secondary will consist of RX, RC, and MW. Lastly there will be two one for Reach and one for Grand Theft Auto.


Secondly, All-Star Events! (Week 13)
I must first announce that out of the 4-5 events already 3 have been confirmed.

1st. The normal format from Season 4's ORL All-Star races. The 20-30 drivers will be voted in. (If you won a Halo 4 official race then your already in the events!) There will be 9-12 races.
2nd. HT vs. ORL Events not much to explain about this. The format hasn't been decided. There will be 5-10 races.
3rd. 16 or 32 driver 1 vs. 1 ORL drivers tournament. Drivers will be seeded. (Created by Pancake) basically a different type of track each round.
Expect SX, GP, RC, MW, RX, MX, and MT. There will be 15-32 races but they wont take long.
4th. Is Vacant
5th. Is Vacant
Think you have a good idea for the 4th and 5th events please tell me or reply here.

ORL All Star Weekend Skills Challenge
-Like Rally Car except there are 4 tracks, GP, SX, MT, Terrain. One lap on each, accumulative times on all 4 decides winner.

ORL 3 Lap Dash (3 Point Shotout )
- 4, 3 lap dash races on GP, MX, MT, and Terrain. Total points decide winner.

All Star Weekend Elimination Tournaments.

ORL Race of Champions (the Top 16 Ranked Racers go to a group stage which hosts 1 Race on any track GP, MT OR SX/MX,the top 4 from each group advance to a final on any track again and then we have a true season winner)

I would suggest doing a sort of Champion of Champions tournament. (Only my Primary series of course)

The top 3 at the end of the season from each series bring it together to battle it out on 2 of each type of track. Sort of like Mash Up series in a way. Or we could just do a Mash-Up series event with the Top 20 racers at the end of the season, and than we do 3 races where after each race, the divisions are switched that'd be cool!

In the GTA V Division I'd love to see a 16 driver endurance race.
Have a 10 lap qualifying followed by a 60 lap race, custom super cars.

Meanwhile all of these ideas have their flares they also have their flaws. I will give everyone else's ideas more thought.


Lastly, Season Eight!

If you think Season 7 is fun, then you are in store for some great racing action.
In Season 8 drivers will be allowed to race 4-6 divisions out of the 7-9 divisions for next season (Any division no matter what tier)
Much like our Brother website HaloTracks, we will be switching to a Team Draft, Smaller Teams, Team Salary, and Team Salary Cap, and points for winning teams.
Meanwhile this might be such a huge change from the normal ORL customs everyone is used to. But, for sure this is for the best to have a way more competitive season along with the fact that it is always nice to change things up every season or two to keep thing fresh.


This is about all I can announce for now. The staff and I are hard at work to make Season 8 a very special one. One of a kind.

Just a cool suggestion.

Dirt Shark Biggest Whip Contest
Pretty self-explanatory right? Throw down the best whip or best "run", depending on what we choose. You should see da Pancakke, SodaPap, MtnDuffelbag or Jab for suggestions on this . Who will be crowned the best whipper in the ORL?

Also, I think the team championships shouldn't be a one-day event. I think we should spend an entire weekend for it. We would let teams form their representatives for each division (In primary that would be GP, MT and MX) and then have the events for each separate division at the time and day they have been racing on all season long. This way it shouldn't be an "Attendance team championship" as people should be free on those time seeing they have done it all season long. This may give teams that i.e. want to put a MX driver in GP trouble, but it'll have to do. This should be a strength of a team, having balanced your team for the season already.

Another gta v series idea and I've mentioned it in game once, would be a custom sedan class series, sedan cars are cheap so no worries about not enough cash and with custom tyres they should have more grip and minimize crashes, also they are heavy as and have less tendency to spin out when nudged or bumped, should be similar to the V8 supercar class here in Australia

Actually Pancake's work of assembling Splash wont go to waste. Gogeta and I have talked quite a bit about this even before Jeff and Purple announced there S7 HTSX plans. I promise that no driver will be screwed over with this team draft. We will not be running exactly the same format as HTSX but, very similar in many parts. I will announce many more parts and details about this upcoming season. But, in the meantime please sit tight and stay calm as we focus on finishing this amazing Season 7!

You should ask your team captain when he drafts or doesn't draft you guys. There's definitely a chance that all 10 drivers will all be on the same team such as now. Therefore, this isn't a false promise. At the same time you can choose to be on a team or not be on a team also. Along with this, there will be closer team championships. The drivers will have to work together as a team instead of having all of the best drivers stockpiled on one or two teams. Such, as now and the past seasons when there was one or two dominating. I'm looking forward to having a very competitive Season 8 in the ORL. But, same as HTSX both leagues have always been about individual racing. Never has a league taken teams to another level like with what HTSX and Jeff are doing that's why I have decided to switch to doing something both very similar and very different. I will explain many more about the Leagues teams among the ORL Season 8 and how the draft will work. Hopefully all of you will stick around to see an amazing Season 8 guys. It's going to be a very close and competitive one. Thank you.

Now here's the only issue with this. If your top post, you briefly speak about having "smaller" teams, but in this reply you say that you shouldn't be worried about not being on your team as there's a chance that all 10 of you will be on the same team. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a 10 man team the largest a team can be? There's nothing "small" about the team set ups, making your whole reply invalid according to what you initially said up top. 

Note: I'm not the first person to point this out, just the first to speak public ally about it.

I noticed that too. If we're making the teams smaller, how do we keep all 10 drivers, and if we're all able to do multiple series, what are the rules for the max amount of teammates in a series
